This page contains information on how to obtain or craft the various Rank 2 Tools and Weapons in Grounded. As you explore the yard, you will have to forage for supplies to build items to help you survive. While the first set of weapons and tools can be crafted fairly easily and on the go, Rank 2 items can only be crafted at a designated workbench, and require more uncommon materials.

Black Ant Shield

The Black Ant Shield is a Tier II shield that allows you to block incoming enemy attacks more effectively. It requires a Workbench as well as collecting Black Ant Parts, Red Ant Parts, and Berry Leather in order to craft.

Black Ant Shovel

The Black Ant Shovel is a Tier II digging tool that offers low damage paired with great stun and serves as your best source for digging up resources. It requires a Workbench to craft as well as defeating and collecting materials from black ants.

Black Ant Sword

The Black Ant Sword is a Tier II melee weapon that has low damage output, but incredibly high speed. It requires a Workbench to craft and primarily requires defeating black ants around the yard and collecting their parts, as well as collecting some Berry Leather.

Bone Dagger

The Bone Dagger is a Tier II underwater weapon that offers low damage and very high speed. It requires a Workbench to craft as well as collecting Sunken Bones, Silk Rope, and Diving Bell Spider Chunks.

Bone Trident

The Bone Trident is a Tier II underwater weapon that offers low damage and and stun paired with very high speed. It requires a Workbench to craft as well as collecting Sunken Bones, Silk Rope, and Diving Bell Spider Chunks.

Crow Crossbow

The Crow Crossbow is a Tier II ranged weapon that offers good damage and minimal stun capability. It requires a Workbench to craft as well as defeating crows to collect their parts in addition to some Acorn Shells and Silk Rope.

EverChar Torch

The EverChar Torch is a Tier II lighting tool that provides an infinite amount of light as long as you continue to repair it and ensure it doesn't break completely. It requires a Workbench to craft as well as collecting an EverChar Coal Chunk, some Tough Gunk, Green Shield Bug Parts, and some Lint Rope.

Insect Axe

The Insect Axe is a Tier II chopping tool that you can uncover and craft in Grounded. It can be used as a fairly good weapon, but its true art lies in its ability to quickly chop down grass and weeds in less hits than a regular axe, plus it is far more durable. It is also the only current tool that can chop down an actual weed plant - which will give out many more Weed Stems than a Dandelion plant.

To craft an Insect Axe, you will first need to unlock the recipe by killing a Ladybug, and analyzing the Ladybug Head. Not all Ladybugs may drop an intact head, so you may have to do some searching around the yard to find them - they can often be found north or Northwest of the oak tree, and chasing aphids, their natural prey.

Once you've unlocked the recipe, hang onto the Ladybug Head, and gain the rest of the resources needed by chopping down spiderwebs (or killing spiders), and taking on Bombardier Beetles - craft tough armor to increase your chances of survival!

Insect Bow

The Insect Bow is a Tier II ranged weapon that you can use in Grounded. The weapon boasts a much higher damage output than the Sprig Bow, while still using the base arrow resources, making it a much better pick for attacking tough targets at a distance.

To unlock the recipe, you'll need to take on the toughest enemy of them all - the Wolf Spider. Carefully fight it with the best armor and weapons you can muster, and kill it to gain a Spider Fang, and analyze it for the recipe. Once you have it, you need only kill other spiders to gain the rest of the materials to craft it.

Insect Hammer

The Insect Hammer is a Tier II busting tool that you can uncover in Grounded. It is a tough but slow weapon that can easily stun enemies, but its most important feature is that it is the only tool strong enough to break apart the Mints found in the Ice Caps Mint Container just to the north of the Mysterious Machine - which can be crafted into a powerful Tier 3 weapon: The Mint Mace.

In order to construct the Insect Hammer, you must first unlock its recipe by killing Bombardier Beetles to get their parts and analyzing your findings. Once the recipe is unlocked, hunt down Bombardier Beetles and Stinkbugs to gain the resources needed to craft this item:

Mosquito Needle

The Mosquito Needle is a Tier II melee weapon that provides low damage output paried with very high speed, while also draining the life from enemies you strike. It requires a Workbench to craft and requires defeating mosquitos to collect their parts, as well as collecting some Silk Rope.

Red Ant Club

The Red Ant Club is a Rank 2 weapon you can unlock and craft in Grounded. It boasts some good damage as well as a large stun chance but at reduced speed, making it one of the better weapons to take into combat against larger foes.

To unlock its recipe, kill a Red Ant and obtain Red Ant Parts that you can then analyze to make a club out of the parts. You'll need to take out Ant Soldiers to get some of the other materials needed - and you may need to draw them away from one another so you don't get swarmed.

Spider Fang Dagger

The Spider Fang Dagger is a Rank 2 weapon you can unlock in Grounded. This weapon doesn't deal a ton of damage compared to others, but it does boast some of the highest attack speed around, and it can also poison enemies while still being incredibly durable, making it great for hit and run attacks.

You can unlock this dagger by killing Orb Weavers or the Wolf Spider to gain Spider Venom and have it analyzed, but to craft it, you'll still need to kill at least one Wolf Spider, so be prepared for a big fight to unlock this weapon - and stockpile the other resources from killing its kind.

Splatburst

The Splatburst is a Tier II explosive weapon that sticks to enemies and provides maximum damage output. It requires collecting Web Fiber, a Bratburst as a base, and some Sap to craft.

Stinger Spear

The Stinger Spear is a Tier II melee weapon that pairs low damage with very high speed, while also increasing your chance to land a critical hit. It requires a Workbench to craft as well as defeating bees to collec their parts, in addition to some Silk Rope.

• Bee Fuzz x5
• Silk Rope x4
